We are so excited to share with you an update on our progress with the new school building! As you can see in the pictures below the building is complete and class is in session. The final step is to finish the wall around the facility.
In Haiti, as with most majority-world countries (aka: third-world), the risk of kidnapping is very high. It is in the best interest of our children and the school program to add further protection by building a wall around our facility. I only share this because often when you look at pictures of primary schools in impoverished nations they look more like prison camps than schools. This is obviously not the case and for those who have never visited our base I hope this additional explanation is helpful.
We will be uploading more photos soon to our blog and our facebook page. Please check back with us.
