Exalting Jesus Through Night and Day Prayer:

If you ever decide to visit Bethel Mission Outreach in Croix Des Bouquets, Haiti you will most likely hear the sound of worship rising over the walls. Beginning at 4am every morning the staff and the children who live on the mission base join together in corporate worship and intercession. These prayer meetings continue intermittedly throughout the day.

In Mark 11:15-17 Jesus entered the temple in Jerusalem and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple. He rebuked them saying that His house shall be called a house of prayer. In essence, Jesus was rebuking those who were using religious acts of worship to gain wealth. At the same time, He was calling His people back to a true relationship with God. A relationship that flowed from prayer and intimacy.

At Bethel Mission Outreach we strive to honor the words of Christ by placing prayer at the center of everything we do. Jesus Christ is worthy of being exalted night and day; and without Him all of our ministry efforts are in vain (John 15:5).

We are fueling our missionary efforts with a prayer room that runs 60 hours a week. Not only does this increase our impact for the Kingdom of God, it also creates an environment where young adults, children, and parents from the surrounding villages can come and encounter the Lord. By regularly proclaiming the gospel, teaching from the Bible, and providing a place of prayer to seek the Lord we are able to more effectively disciple new believers.

Mark 11:17 “…Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations…'”
